| “GREENING THE FUTURE” AWARDS | ||
| EnviroServ Polymer Solutions has over the past few months put tremendous effort into their “Green Pallet Project”, which uses waste from our client TetraPak and converts it into composite boards which are then made into pallets.This project was entered in the Mail and Guardian “Greening the Future” awards,which honour and celebratecompanies and organizations which are doing their bit to ensure a sustained and healthy planet for all people. |

The fifth anniversary of the Mail & Guardian Greening the Future Awards was celebrated at a black-tie event in Johannesburg on June 5, coinciding with World Environment Week. The annual awards honour the achievements of companies and organisations that work tirelessly, often unrecognised, to ensure a cleaner and healthier planet At the awards ceremony in Johannesburg on 5 June 2008, EnviroServ Polymer Solutions was announced as a winner in the category “Companies and organizations with innovative environmental strategies that improve business performance”. Also worth mentioning is the fact that Woolworths were also a winner in this category. Given that Woolworths was just recently named International Responsible Retailer of the Year at the 2008 World Retail Awards, demonstrates the level of competitor we had to compete with to be named a winner.
